Suggestions/Questions / Re: Cement

Hi Andrea
Robertos building supplies in Randburg sell about a 2 kilo bag. They use this in the premix bags of plaster and building mixes that they bag in bigger bags. I would suggest you find a building supplier in your area the mixes there own premix bags. Unfortunately by the time you have driven all the way to Randburg you might as well purchase a full bag and dump what is left. Another option is to find out if a builder supplier has a damaged bag.

Hi Abby
Thanks. I have more than 70  different colors in the big size flowers but most of them have not flowered yet as the plants are still a bit small. Next year should be spectacular.

Hi Rena
I also have mine in hanging baskets but sometime wounder if they have enough soil. Maybe I should make hanging baskets out of some of my bigger pots. The person where I purchase these plants from has normal pots but converted to hanging pots. I do have the names of them all recorder on the pc.

Hi
You can get a good idea of the size of the flower from my wife's hand holding it from behind.

Hi
A few flowers on a climax stem. Unfortunately due to the fragile nature of  the flowers I do not want to turn the red flower but it measures just over 22cm across. You can judge the size of these flower's by the size of the hanging pot of the Climax plant. I do grow these flowers in my clivia shade areas.

Hi Abby
Fortunately or unfortunately I do received quite high prices for the plants and also the seeds. I do not ship plants overseas but do send seeds and I do use paypal. I must also point out that although growing clivias's from seed is a numbers game I have tried to line breed the Emma Dale plant and the (F1)  plants from the Emma Dale plant produce about 80 percent true flowering in this color combination. I will also have seeds from the F1 Emma Dale plants available next year March and they should certainly produce more than 80 percent true flowering in this color combination.
Although I talk about the Emma Dale F1 this is actually the third generation in this color combination (F3). The reason for this is that the original plant that I produced in this color combination was not named and also the F1 from that plant was not named.  I certainly have been busy with this color combination for more than 20 years. There is a link to my web site at the bottom of my postings.
