« on: June 29, 2008, 14:15:14 PM »
For lack of finding a better place to post them here are some photos I took last week.

Haemantus. albiflos

Kudu

Look at the diversity

Alcelaphus buselaphus caama, red hartebeest

Tortoise rock formation.

I will be a bit quiet next week, in the Tsitsikamma with my son.

Ernst,

very nice photos and it brings back fond memories of my time I lived in Port Elizabeth between 1982 and 1988. I covered the Eastern Cape and its beauty like your photos extensively by car which was a part of my work at the time. I often tried taking weird and different routes from A to B and this very often included gravel roads. I was so fortunate that my job took me to many outposts of our country. It was a holiday all year round.

Do you know if that Trout Farm on the Avontuur side of the Prince Alfred Pass still exist. They had about five mountain lodges without electricity and I enjoyed making an overnight stop there instead of Plettenberg Bay.

Thank you for considering us to share your experience.

Heinie,

I wanted to surprise you with a photo, but I did not take one last year Nov. when I last drove that pass. I will post some photos of  plants from the pass later on.
