Oh joy and rapture!!   a pet thread!  I love seeing everyone's "helpers" lol.

Abby, your Sweet Thing is absolutely precious.  How did you get an icon of her licking your screen?  You are surely the queen of the great emoticons lol!

Janine, I too am so sorry to hear that you lost your pets.  That is such a hard thing to deal with.

Gosh Rena, what a wonderful assortment of wild life you have visitng your garden.  And I really love the picture of
Cheeky munching on a garden treat.

Who could resist that adorable face on your Sunny Leisl!  You must have a very hard time saying "no" to that sweetie.

Hi Doug - it looks like we have cats in common here.  I have two indoor g i r l s  that I will share pictures of in a minute.  I love the name KI-KAT.  Such a slim and graceful thing she is compared to my two hurly burly ones.

Kareem I can see the love in the eyes of your two wonderful dogs.  How sweet that Tazz needs to be as close to you as possible.

Here is Emmie enjoying a spring breeze taken a few years ago.  She only goes outside if I or DH are with her and she loves her outdoor forays.

And here is her "step sister" Lily (same father but different mothers) who is afraid of being outside but is quite the firecracker inside.

Susan O

I absolutely adore your two bundles of fluff with those lovely pink noses - bet they feel nice on a cold winter's night to cuddle up to, a bit like a soft fluffy hot water bottles. One for him and one for her. Emmie and Lily seem to have different personalities in the picture, are they like that in life?

What a great link to a cat lover's paradise.

Love them Susan O.
Would not work here though as being so in the bush we have a flea problem and while those coats are magnificent I would hate to look for a flea in there.  LOL

Another one of KI-Kat. Slitting her eyes at me. She loves me so.

Thanks for the nice comments everyone - Lily and Emmie say "Thank you" also.

Michael, I LOVE the LOLcats website also!  I check it every day and have saved some of my favorites.

Doug, you are right, fleas and ticks would be a nightmare.  On the plus side of their long soft fur is the fact that I put clumps of it out in the late winter and spring and the birds in my yard like to line their nests with it.  Here is a not very clear picture of a tufted titmouse loading up with cat fur lol...

I enjoyed it just as much - this thread has been very special.

My like Dachshund is going to have his teeth cleaned tomorrow - he will be under general anesthetic and I will only be able to fetch him late afternoon. :-(

Hopefully when he comes home he won't be the grim breather anymore :-)

Good idea, bad idea......Get a lamb to bottle feed and then feed him weeds.......doesn't work. Soon he's crunching strelitzia and trampling beds. This is Skapie and he lives in the deep freeze now.

Oh how adorable!  Skapie is so sweet looking.  :-)  And she/he must be a super source of fertilizer for the garden.  Dang, I wish I could use the cats' "productions"  for that lol.  But they are definitely carnivors.  (as long as it comes in a fancy feast can lol)

Abby, its funny how much Emmie and Lily look alike and yet they have totally opposite personalities.  Lily is the diva who gets first choice for food and attention and is a constant talker.  Emmie on the other hand is a quieter more philosophical feline with a teeny tiny mew.  But she is the leader of the two of them.

Leisl, good luck with the teeth cleaning.  I'm sure it will help with bad breath.

What can I say but sorry about Skapie's new accommodation :'(

Leisl
I hope your pup is well and back home and that your wallet is not too empty - they charge a fortune for a procedure like that here.  :) With his brand new smile and white teeth he should make a good photo for posting  ???

Susan O
I hope you do not mind me asking but what breed are Emmie and Lily. They look kind of Persian but the blue eyes look Siamese?

Doug
You cannot be all bad if Kit-Kat loves you  ;D  LOL

Hi Abby, they are a breed called ragdoll cats.  They are known for their easy going temperment.  They are called ragdolls because they go limp when you pick them up.  We stumbled upon a breeder right in the next town from us by accident.  It was love at first sight for my hubby.  A year after we got Emmie we went back and got Lily.

Here they are together, watching one of their favorite shows on tv called Meercat Manor.
