Dear all,

now my tall-bearded Iris are starting their show. I counted about 70 flower stems lately  :) !

Amethyst Flame (an old variety, Schreiner)

Before the Storm (Innerst)

Lightning Streak (Gibson)

Stairway to Heaven (Schreiner)

Edith Wolford (Hager)

Enjoy!
Best,

Joyce.

Joyce, if that is only the second year and they are performing like that, what do you feed them?

Katja, they get a normal dose of perennials feeding in March. I think the site where they are is the best in my small garden!

Gorgeous, Joyce!
When they get going please give us a pick of their bed/s.
I really love Edith Wolford - the last one - the combo of yellow and blue is very unusual to me (in any flower, not just irises.)
Best Regards,

Mel.

Gabriele Menke is also one of my favourites  :)
So now here is the whole Iris bed:

and every day there are a few more of my old loves starting to flower - I am so relieved that most of them have survived our move/new site/ new soil and show out again!
Will post more tomorrow

That garden bed is just so beautiful.  :good:

Whilst I appreciate a close up look I just adore blooms 'en masse'
