You make it hard for one to choose a favourite Joyce

I thought I was sold on the Wench but now cannot resist the beauty of Sea Power - the colour is absolutely superb and so rich in frills.

Is Dawn of Change open yet?  I've scoured my garden for a surprise scape but no luck - will have to wait winter through patiently.

It is showing its noses on a couple of blooms but really not opening - we had a cold snap today, max 14C and expecting 5C tonight with a wind chill factor of 0. It is 6pm and I'm having dinner and it is dark outside, I guess I should have covered it  :-[ but it is so so cold outside and the thing is over a meter tall- I'll think about it.

Hi Abby

Well, yesterday I was given a surprise of daylily buds peering out from under a lavender bush in the lovely sunlight, so I cut the bush back and am now waiting with baited breath to see if the blooms will make it - but today its pouring again but I am going out in the rain later to see what's happening. Also found an iris flower under the same bush ............... but doubt if it'll still be photo-graphable after all the rain since yesterday. How did I let that happen ???

Joyce

I must do this again for your all your iris pics   :good: :woohoo:

I picked the flower of my lonely iris quickly before the rain demolished it - not nearly as lovely as all yours, Joyce - but a nice surprise anyway.

Rena,

a very nice one considering the heavy rain and all the cold! Beautiful colour, do you know her name?

No unfortunately I don't  - she was given to me years ago without a name.  But  I have always loved the colour.
