Hibiscus 'Tylene'
« on: May 18, 2009, 22:15:36 PM »
Dear all,

now one of my Hibis who is a very shy bloomer is flowering at last: 'Tylene'. Last year she only thought of growing, this spring she changed her mind!

Enjoy!
Best,

Joyce.

My different hibiscus flower from spring well into winter.  In our winter now flowers are of a much deeper shade than normal and so attractive.

Some of my hibiscus are flowering almost all-year-round. They have been in the guest quarters (= hothouse for Clivia seedlings and young plants) during winter, placed in front of the windows (interior has artificial light and heat mats, temps between 15 and 22 degrees of Celsius for night and day). It depends on the variety and how large they are, I think.
Other varieties were taking their resting period and are now showing off  :)
