Very interesting Rena. We were told about this some 3 weeks ago and tried the remedy for a cold. What a surprise when it worked better than the remedies sold by the pharmacy.

My hubby is diabetic and I use a lot of cinnamon in his food - sweet potato with c is divine! As well as honey for sweetening when required. Recently used honey on my dogs when they all caught a bad dose of kennel cough - worked a treat and they love it!

My one bitch has a hole in her side at the moment (don't ask?!?!) and I am going to get some raw honey for it.

Just have to share this extract I read about Cinnamon

"CINNAMON:Healing, Release, Self-Love, Prosperity, Protection, Psychic Powers, Sex, Spirituality, Sucess. The Element of cinnamon is Fire, the Deities are Aesclepius, Aphrodite, Helios, Mercury, Hermes, Oshun, Ra, Venus. The Planet is the sun. It raises vitality, counteracts congestion, is antirheumatic, stops diarrhea, improves digestion, relieves abdominal spasms, aids the peripheral circulation of the blood. Cinnamon is the 2nd most widely used warming stimulant in Chinese medicine.....
In India, it is taken after childbirth for contraceptive. Reduces blood pressure and fevers. Cinnamon suppresses completely the cause of most urinary tract infections and the fungus responsible for vaginal yeast infections. Breaks down fats in your digestive system (snickerdoodles! lol) by boosting the activity in the digestive system...enzymes. Cinnamon contains eugenol, so may be applied to cuts and scrapes to relieve the pain!!!"

 :woohoo: Abby

I stopped drinking the mix about a month ago when my urticaria/mastocytosis/nasty thing flared up again and I went on to homeopathic remedies again - but hubby is still drinking it.  He's a real honey these days..................haha.  No difference yet.  The pigeons are also still on it - but they have been doing well in the races - even won a big race recently. So - who knows???  (Oh - the homeopathic stuff has also not helped)
