Square Watermelons
« on: July 11, 2010, 05:09:12 AM »

Square Watermelons  ???

A round watermelon can take up a lot of room in a refrigerator
And the usually round fruit often sits awkwardly on refrigerator shelves.

Smart Japanese Farmers have forced their watermelons to grow into a
Square shape by inserting the melons into square, tempered glass cases

While the fruit is still growing on the vine.  :o

This is one of the things what the world was waiting for. The thing that I am waiting for would be a square sprayer to fit onto a hose pipe for watering flower beds.

Can anybody help?

Andre, I had a sprayer once that you could set to round, square, regtangle, long or ?circle.  I can't tell you the make because I've used it up! It worked so well, especially on the 1 meter wide terrace at the back of my house.  It was green with a white 'wheel' (the size of a saucer) on top that you could turn to set it to the desired setting.  I'll keep an eye open when I visit garden shops to see if it is still available.
