This is the seed from this tree - doesn't look like the chinese elm seeds?

Here are 2 normal acorns on the left compared to the little ones from this tree


Hubby claims he was told it's a chinese oak - and I remember chines elm....HELP please!

(We regularly have a "friendly" argument about this tree's name - hubby insists my dad told him it was a ch. oak when he planted it and I "clearly" ( ;D) remember him saying it was a sort of elm - the bet is on and the loser pays for today's lunch....)

Maybe it's father was an oak and the mother an elm - then we both win ???

Lunch was great - inside the old cellar among the wine barrels and brandy stills at an old 1795 wine estate - it was just the smirk on someone's face when I had to pay the bill that annoyed me.......
