Tree Tomatos
« on: March 10, 2011, 20:31:45 PM »
I picked our first fruit for the season. Kobie made some jam.
It came out delicious!

Ernst &  Kobie

If you think in terms of a year, plant a seed; if in terms of ten years, plant trees; if in terms of 100 years, teach the people.

We had a very good harvest last year - but this year the tree tomatoes are dropping before they have  even turned into full colour - and are a bit shrivelled.  I have managed to give the trees their thorough watering as usual - but think it must be the extreme heat that has caused this?

Very sad - I love eating the fruit straight from the tree - like a granadilla - bite off the head and enjoy the pippy part, and leave the skin for the tortoises.....

I don't know much about tree tomotos but I do like Roma tomatoes.

Rena, any chance of getting some seeds from your tree tomatoes?
