No choice. Both equally beautiful. I have a similar one to Ballerina but just white. It really looks spectacular when in full bloom with all the flowers open at the same time. I just love them.

Kind regards
Eddie

The Old Unknown Rose any day Rena  ;)

I guess the Balerina is a climber and the flowers en masse look spectacular  :congrats:

Even this morning I can't choose only one - Ballerina is so stunning year after year - one stem of small blooms is enough to fill a vase.  And then Brilliant Pink is also so beautiful - the blooms look hand-painted and smell divine.

Abby - Ballerina is a smallish climber and looks even more spectacular on the other side of the fence.  And the Unknown Rose?  Well, I've never taken cuttings of roses but am going to try - I think I'm also going to build a steel cage around the plant to protect it from the evil oak branches.....

How about a photo of your white rose, Eddie?

Rena that will have to wait a while as the hailstorm we had reduced it to leafless stems. When she recovers i will post a pic for you.

Kind regards

That's even worse than I imagined it to be - it must take a very strong spirit to clean that up and start again.

Thanks Liezel - In my garden, Ballerina and some other climbers along our back fence are really the only ones that give a great show - not just a few nice blooms once in a while.  And unfortunately, once summer is in full swing the big trees and vines (that are dormant when the roses start their blooming) give too much shade for the other roses and after an initial good blooming at the beginning of the season, they don't do well.

Ballerina is still my favourite ;D

Ballerina's mass of flowers really is spectacular. Glad to hear she is such a good rebloomer. It is a pity that the shade spoils your other flowers a bit. At least a nice big tree is always something special.
