My expensive little one
« on: August 01, 2013, 09:36:18 AM »
Here is a picture of my latest and most expensive seedling ever! Very excited about this one! About a year old (maybe 2).
It is a Hirao selfed. Very nice large green flower. Now to wait a few years!

Thanks Marco
Now to wait patiently to see the bloom  - have you got a picture of the mum?

How's this one?  Lifted from clivia forum.  (Lionel won't mind the free advertising.)

I hope so abby. Can't afford a mother plant, they are still WAY expensive.

On the 1st of September we have that colf front and I neglected covering my plants  :'( We had black frost that night and I suffered a lot of damage between my clivia plant. My once proud clivia area is now a disaster area. I believe most of the plants will recover but some did not make it. Luckily my Hirao was still on my stoep area so it survived with no damage. Now to see whether the other plants will make it. My light of Budha's light is almost out. Maybe a little flicker of hope there somewhere!

Marco  :)

So sad to hear about your cold snap causing much unwanted damage.

Hopefully they will all recover once the warmer weather begins
