Need some succulent ID's please
« on: November 24, 2013, 11:01:18 AM »
I have a new bug that bit me... I am going to try upload some pics of my new bug, but photobucket is annoying me intensely and I cannot get photos uploaded from last night  >:(  I bought a few cacti and I got a lot of slips from a friend

::) it has Rena.... Is there a cure?  My friend gave me 34 different slips - I potted and potted, ran out of potting soil... had to go buy more...  ;D

Nope, no cure ;D

I see something of just about anything there!  Do you promise to remember all  the names if we give them to you??

Are you going to keep them in single pots or do something like this -

("borrowed" from another site - don't know if I'm allowed to do that???)

I can say that 7th from the top is a St' Anthony's Rick Rack. A type of "bladroos". AWESOME flowers. No 8 looks like some kind of Asblom. Not sure what they are called in English!

Rena, there are days when I can't even remember my own name, but I will try really, really hard  ;)  I think for now, they need to stay in single pots until I know how big they get.  Some of them had to be planted with a braai tong the thorns are so nasty
Thanks Marco - according to the friend I got them from, No8 is apparently a carnivorous plant which makes a big red flower.  We will see

I can help you with some indiginous plants.

Pic 8 is a Stapelia. Probably Gigantea.
Pic 9 is Aloe Ciliaris.
Pic 10 is an Euphorbia. Probably Trigona.
Pic 11 is Crassula "Hobbit"
Pic 12, left back is an Aloe Aristata.

Regards.
