Flowering at this moment
« on: November 19, 2014, 04:58:00 AM »
Hi all
This photo was taken 2 days ago just after the rain in the early morning.
The plant has 2 spikes and the one that is flowering has 7 buds on it.
Also a picture of my garden helper.
Regards
LeRoy

Hi LeRoy

I can't decide which photo I like best - your garden helper looks very well behaved :)
Retired - now full-time gardener - and loving it!

Hi Rena
My garden helper is quite well behaved at this stage but it took 3 years. He loves to carry in the post or carry my tools when I am working. I also walk him in the streets without a leash.

Hi Leisl
Unfortunately I am sure if you have not found out yet you will find out they like to eat every thing. So you must make your house lab safe. Sasha is also very attached to me and since I acquired him 3 and a half years ago I have not been away for more than a weekend. I must say that my youngest son also moved out of the house about the same time. Before that my wife and I would go down to Mossel bay about 3 times a year. When I get visitors Sasha also tries to keep my attention on him, he does not get aggressive to wards the visitors but wants my attention. Maybe because you have 2 they would keep themselves entertained.
But having said all that he is a great pleasure to have and I do spoil him a lot. I do believe that the more attention  you give a dog the more attention they give back to you.

He's gorgeous LeRoy.  I don't have labs, I have a little Yorky girl and a pavement special girl.  The latter is especially crazy!  I now live in a house where one closes the bedroom doors as you exit and I have to do a once over before I leave the house to check that there is NOTHING remotely interesting lying around.  They have tons of toys but of course prefer human shoes and toys (my girls have lost many toys and dummies!!)  I couldn't be without them though so its a small price to pay :-)
