Propagating Streptocarpus Seeds
« on: August 28, 2007, 22:42:15 PM »
I had a quick look at the Dibleys website tonight and their explanation is exactly how I sow mine and they have good photos of the seedpods and seeds. Streptocarpus are  so called as Streptos = twisted, carpus = fruit. I've noticed that T & M sell Dibleys seeds even though Dibleys don't sell outside Europe.

Here's another link how to propagate by leaf cuttings.

Becky! I am not sure if you are following this thread, but the seeds you sent me are starting to getminate!

I have a green haze with leaves at the moment.  I will sent a pic as soon as they are more visible...

The seedlings are tiny when they begin to germinate Wayne. Some seedlings which I sowed 2 months ago are about an inch long now. They are rapid growers and can flower within 6-8 months.
